Our Mission
Thought GPS turns every path into a chorus of local voices—so the next person who walks, drives, or rides hears a story, not silence. We believe the world comes alive when communities share their hidden histories, personal memories, and quirky facts right where they happened.
Our Story
It started with a quiet question in LA traffic:
“What were all these people thinking?”
Founder Johanna Topalian imagined a way to leave thoughts behind in the physical world — and to hear the echoes of others who had passed the same places. Not on social media feeds, but embedded directly in streets, campuses, parks, and neighborhoods.
In early 2025, Johanna began developing Thought GPS, a GPS-triggered audio platform that transforms real-world locations into living story maps. Early prototypes demonstrated how local audio could create immersive experiences at places like university campuses, city landmarks, and cultural destinations.
Today, Thought GPS is evolving into a creator-powered platform for memory, meaning, and movement — where hyperlocal stories are always just around the corner.
Our Values
Community First
We empower everyday storytellers—historians, comedians, tour guides, and neighbors—to share authentic audio wherever they roam.
Seamless Discovery
GPS-triggered clips mean no tapping, no searching—just effortless, hands-free exploration.
Creator-Centric
We’ve built intuitive tools and a generous revenue-share model so that creators get paid fairly and can focus on what they do best.
