    Getting Started

    Becoming a creator on Thought GPS is straightforward:

    1. Sign Up: Visit our Creator Sign-Up Page and complete the registration process.
    2. Download the App: Once registered, you’ll get an email to download the EchoPath Creator app from Testflight or Google Play.
    3. Create Your Profile: Set up your profile by adding a bio, profile picture, and any other relevant information.
    4. Start Recording: Use the app to record your first audio clip. Simply drop a GPS pin, hit record, and share your story.
    5. Publish and Share: Once satisfied with your recording, publish it. Your audio will be available to listeners who pass by the location.

    The Spark Behind Thought GPS

    In February 2025, UCLA-Anderson MBA Johanna Topalian envisioned a platform where audio tours are dynamic, authentic, and community-driven. Collaborating with Bay Area engineer Michael Lam, who has two decades of experience in geofencing and data pipelines, they developed a hands-free, GPS-triggered audio app that allows anyone to share their stories tied to specific locations.

    How Thought GPS Works

    • Record & Pin: Use the Thought GPS Creator app to drop a GPS pin and record a 1–3 minute audio snippet—no studio needed.
    • Build Routes: Combine clips into multi-stop routes, such as walking tours or local guides.
    • Publish & Discover: Go live instantly. Listeners hear your stories as they pass each pin, and you earn through route sales, subscriptions, and tips.
